UE4: Technical Character Animator
The HDX Transmedia team is growing and we need a Technical Animator to fill out our ranks! We are based in Toronto, but you are free to work remotely with a flexible schedule and a highly competitive compensation package, starting at $80 - $90K / year.
DESCRIPTION
As Technical Animator, you will develop and maintain animation systems, rigging, pipelines and processes used in our titles. You will report directly to the Chief Creative Officer. Our team is passionate about creating the most realistic erotic experiences in VR. We’d love to have you onboard if you share the same passion!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement character focused animation and gameplay systems inside of UE4
Help define, create and maintain the animation pipeline and toolsets from Maya/Motionbuilder to Unreal Engine
Working with processed motion capture data;
Working with UE4 control rigs such as Metahuman and other real-time rigging standards;
Implementing gameplay animation using sequencer and blueprints;
Working with technical development team to R&D new dynamic and procedural functionality for characters;
Animating for both 2D and VR; and,
Contributing towards the design and development of new features and concepts.
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong communication and problem solving skills;
Must demonstrate ability to create high-quality character animations;
3+ years of Maya + UE4 experience;
Experience with MEL/Python;
Understanding of rigging principles for bipeds; and
A passion for building high-quality games / interactive experiences for VR.
